We’re looking for a Digital Marketing Apprenticeship Programme Lead to not only mentor and coach our learners on the Level 3 Multi-Channel Marketer standard, but to also take a lead role in guiding and supporting our delivery team.

The Role…

As the Digital Marketing Apprenticeship Programme Lead, you will drive excellence in training delivery while ensuring the programme aligns with business objectives, learner success, and industry advancements. You will lead, innovate, and optimise performance across the Digital Marketing department, monitor and manage KPIs to ensure continuous improvement. You’ll ensure the highest standards of training delivery while driving innovation and excellence across the programme.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead & Deliver Excellence: Oversee the Digital Marketing apprenticeship programme, ensuring high-quality, consistent delivery that meets industry standards and apprenticeship requirements.

Mentor Future Marketers: Guide and inspire apprentices on the Level 3 Multi-Channel Marketer programme, equipping them with hands-on expertise in SEO, content marketing, paid media, analytics, CRM, and campaign management.

Monitor departmental performance, analysing data to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for enhanced delivery.

Support the team to improve retention & success rates by implementing targeted support strategies for at-risk learners.

Develop & Support the Team: Provide leadership to trainers through weekly team meetings, 1:1 mentoring, and best practice sharing, fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Drive standardisation across the department, ensuring consistency

Enhance Curriculum & Innovation: Stay ahead of emerging digital marketing trends and technologies, integrating them into training to keep the programme cutting-edge.

Quality Assurance & Compliance: Monitor and uphold standards across learning platforms (Skills Hub, LMS) and ensure Ofsted readiness through lesson observations, internal audits, and standardisation.

Engaging Learning Design: Create dynamic, inclusive, and employer-aligned training content that meets diverse learner needs.

Employer Collaboration: Partner with businesses to ensure apprentices deliver real value, aligning training with organisational goals.

Drive Continuous Improvement: Champion curriculum development, teaching innovation, and operational excellence across the digital delivery team.

Support with workforce planning, leave management, and resource allocation to maintain seamless programme delivery.

Collaborate with senior leadership to shape the DM department’s long-term strategy, including expansion plans and new programme development.

Drive enrolment and engagement initiatives to increase learner uptake and employer partnerships.

What we’re looking for…

  • Proven digital marketing expertise with hands-on experience in multi-channel strategies (SEO, PPC, content, analytics, etc.).
  • Experience in apprenticeship delivery, including tracking learner progress, setting KPIs, and driving achievement rates.
  • Teaching/training qualification (PTLLS/AET or equivalent) – essential.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams, analyse performance data, and implement improvements.
  • In-depth knowledge of the Level 3 Multi-Channel Marketer standard (or similar).
  • Data-driven mindset – comfortable using LMS/Power BI to measure success.
  • Innovative thinker – stays ahead of digital trends and integrates them into training.
  • (Desirable) Experience managing a training team or curriculum development.

What to expect during the interview process:

We want to ensure you’re the right fit for us, and that we’re the right fit for you! Our process is designed to be relaxed yet insightful:

Stage 1: A 30-minute Teams call with our Digital Marketing Specialist to discuss the curriculum and your experience in Digital Marketing.

Stage 2: A 30-minute Teams call with our Chief Operations Officer – this is all about fit and feel.

Stage 3: An in-person interview at our office with our Head of Delivery and panel. This stage will also include a fun and interactive interview activity to showcase your skills in action.

Please note: While this role is primarily delivered during standard business hours and hybrid/remote, there may be occasional requirements in the future for evening sessions or face-to-face delivery, depending on learner needs or employer partnerships. Flexibility and willingness to support these formats is appreciated. The current requirement is to attend our Derby Head Office at least once per month.
