Programme

Masterclass - Generative AI

West Special Fasteners operate from an impressive 28,000 square foot facility in Dronfield, employing 66 full time employees, and with a history that spans almost 25 years.

The team of experts specialise in stainless steel, high-performance alloys, and exotic metals, delivering tailored fastening solutions for industries worldwide.

Keen to explore the business efficiencies that AI delivers, eight members of the team attended a fully funded 5-hour Masterclass in Generative AI, delivered by althaus Subject Matter Expert, Mike Garde, whilst the company’s Transport Manager has attended a Cyber Security Masterclass.

The course seeks to democratise AI for every job role, in every sector, driving efficiencies, refining business process and implementing hands on tools for daily use.

Simon Grass-Smith, Business Development Manager comments,

“I have never found a training course more useful or relevant to the current demands of our business or my role directly.

The structure and pace of the course were excellent with revision and test sessions worked in throughout to make sure we understood as we learned the content.

I would give the training 10/10 in terms of content and relevance to SMEs.  I would recommend Mike and the training to any organisation considering it as an option and I have already put in place the elements we covered in the session”

The training forms part of a UKSPF funded project, administered by North East Derbyshire District Council and Chesterfield Borough Council and delivered by althaus Digital.

“We are delighted to have the opportunity to support SMEs across North East Derbyshire and Chesterfield with fully funded training, designed to support business as usual, and with a focus on AI, Cyber Security and Digital Marketing.  With a handful of spaces remaining, we’d encourage any business in the geography to reach out and find out more”
