The Opportunity

althaus digital are an alternative training provider who do things differently. Our aim is to unleash the digital leaders of tomorrow by equipping our learners with the powerful combination of technical skills and leadership abilities they need to maximise their growth and realise their potential.

We’re looking for a highly driven, quality-focused business development professional to support our Director of Transformation in developing commercial opportunities to grow additional income streams across the business.

The aim of this role is to establish and grow productive relationships with businesses and partner organisations of all sizes to enable business growth strategies across Digital, IT and tech.

The Person

An energetic, tenacious and ambitious person, you will have 2-3 years experience of Business Development, and a “can do” mentality that will enable you to shape our commercial offer. You will need to be ED&I focused and want to make a positive difference to the lives of individuals and the effectiveness of businesses through learning and development.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Prospecting for new commercial business
  • Developing client relationships and increasing wallet-share
  • Conducting high quality and productive digital training needs analysis
  • Maintaining a comprehensive working knowledge of all althaus programmes
  • Delivering exceptional levels of customer service
  • Supporting the development of junior team members
  • Achievement of monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets
  • Submission of accurate and timely sales reports/forecasts
  • Maintenance of clear and accurate customer engagement records on CRM
  • Taking a ‘digital first’ approach whenever possible

  • The role will include travel and evening work as per the needs of our clients and our business.


  • Proven business development ability and comfortable working in a target-driven environment
  • Confident presenting to both internal and external stakeholders at various levels
  • High standards of personal integrity, professional conduct and customer service
  • A full, clean drivers’ licence and access to own vehicle with business insurance

Highly Desirable

· Experience of working in the training industry
