The Opportunity…

Althaus Digital is a leading training provider of digital apprenticeships, equipping businesses with the next generation of tech talent. As we expand our national footprint, we are seeking a dynamic and results driven Regional Manager to spearhead our growth in a new region. This role is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated professional with a strong background in sales, business development, and stakeholder engagement.

The Role…

Known internally as a Zonal Leader, you will be responsible for driving apprenticeship sales and business growth within the London area. You will develop and implement strategies to engage employers, build partnerships, and increase the uptake of Althaus Digital’s apprenticeship programmes. This role requires a proactive, entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for skills development and digital transformation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and secure new apprenticeship sales opportunities within the zone, ensuring revenue targets are met or exceeded.
  • Develop and execute a strategy to establish Althaus as the go-to apprenticeship provider in the region.
  • Build strong relationships with local employers, industry bodies, training providers, and other key stakeholders to drive apprenticeship uptake.
  • Conduct market research to identify regional trends, competitor activity, and employer needs, shaping Althaus’ service offerings accordingly.
  • Provide ongoing support to existing employer partners, ensuring retention and continued engagement with our apprenticeship programmes.
  • Work closely with internal teams, including marketing, talent, and delivery to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Drive sales effectiveness by managing and leveraging the CRM (HubSpot) to track pipelines, monitor performance, and optimise customer relationships.
  • Act as an ambassador for Althaus, attending networking events, conferences, and trade shows to promote our services.

Person Specification:

  • Proven experience in sales, business development, or employer engagement, within the apprenticeship, education, or recruitment sectors.
  • Strong knowledge of apprenticeship standards and the UK skills landscape.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Proficient in using CRM platforms such as HubSpot to manage sales pipelines, track activity, and generate actionable insights.
  • Ability to work independently, set priorities, and drive initiatives forward.
  • Strong commercial acumen with a results-oriented mindset.
  • Willingness to travel within the designated zone.
  • A full, clean drivers’ licence and access to own vehicle with business insurance. The role will include some regional travel as per the needs of our clients and our business.
  • Existing network of employer contacts within the region.

This is a hybrid role and may require travel to Derby at least once a month.

What to expect during the interview process:

We want to ensure you’re the right fit for us, and that we’re the right fit for you! Our process is designed to be relaxed yet insightful:

Stage 1: A 30-minute Teams call with our Chief Operations Officer – this is all about fit and feel.

Stage 2: An in-person interview at our office with our Head of Sales panel. This stage may also include am interactive interview activity to showcase your skills in action.

Please note this is a hybrid role and will include travel to our Derby HQ up to once a week.
