We’re seeking a dynamic and organised Recruitment and Office Assistant to support our HR and administrative teams. In this role, you will assist with the recruitment process, including screening CV’s, scheduling interviews, and maintaining candidate records. Additionally, you will provide general office support, such as managing office supplies, coordinating meetings, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.

The Opportunity…

This is a varied role that combines administrative, recruitment and office management duties. The ideal applicant will be extremely well-organised, possess exceptional multitasking skills, and flourish in a dynamic, innovative setting. In addition to making sure the office runs smoothly and offering administrative support to the larger team, you will assist the Head of People with recruitment responsibilities. You will be the central point of contact for office activities and play a key role in recruiting top talent for our organisation.

Please note there is an opportunity for this role to be offered as an apprenticeship (Level 2 Resourcer).

Key Responsibilities

Recruitment Support:

Assist the Head of People with internal hiring; source and approach possible applicants over the phone while evaluating their fit for key positions. This includes jobs in delivery, sales, customer service, finance, and administration.

Write and post engaging job adverts across various platforms, including LinkedIn, Indeed and our Internal Website.

Liaise with internal stakeholders and hiring managers; provide quality candidate CV’s, organise teams and in-person interviews and gather & provide feedback to interviewees.

Send rejection emails to unqualified candidates.

Help update and maintain our in-house candidate database.

Office Administration:

Ensure the office environment is well-maintained, including liaising with vendors and contractors, ensuring the smooth, safe and efficient running of the office.

Managing office equipment and troubleshooting basic IT issues with the help of the IT/Finance team.

Oversee and organise any repairs, improvements, or refurbishments in the office space.

Support the Head of People welcome any visitors, vendors or contractors, answer calls and manage direct enquiries. This includes handling incoming and outgoing mail, ordering office supplies, and organising returns when required.

Undertake such other duties and training as may be reasonably required and which are consistent with the general level of responsibility of this role.

We’re seeking a self-motivated, organised, and driven individual who would thrive in this varied role within a dynamic and fast-growing business. The role involves demonstrating ultimate coordination and strong communication skills, whilst showing initiative and managing priorities and deadlines effectively. The ability to prioritise their own workload and work independently as well as in a team is essential.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Proven experience as an office administrator, administrative assistant, or similar role.
  • Experience in recruitment or HR administration is desirable.
  • Strong organisational and multitasking skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) and confident liaising with stakeholders and contractors.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with applicant tracking systems (ATS) is desirable.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • High level of professionalism, confidentiality, and attention to detail.
  • A proactive attitude and the ability to handle changing priorities

This is an office-based role and will require travel to Derby (East Midlands) 5 days per week.
