IT IQA

Are you passionate about the delivery of quality assessments, with expert knowledge of IT or Digital Marketing? As an Internal Quality Assurer at Althaus, you will assist with and coordinate the quality assurance of competency assessments that are delivered on behalf of accrediting Awarding Bodies. You will be pivotal in assuring continual improvement by ensuring the quality of the course content and teaching methods meet the highest standards.

The Role….

To drive the quality performance and improvements within IT and undertake Internal Quality Assurance (IQA) activity to ensure coaches & trainers adhere to the highest possible standards of quality and compliance. Through robust and efficient implementation of the quality strategy and processes, the IQA is responsible for ensuring that delivery and assessment effectively prepares learners for EPA and meets  regulatory requirements.

 

What you can expect in an IQA role at althaus:

  • Monitor the quality of our skills coach’s performance, identify development needs, and facilitate development to maintain and improve the quality of assessment.
  • Internal Verification of IT Solutions Technician; Infrastructure Technician, with some elements of Digital Marketing.
  • Ensure documentation and records meet quality and regulatory requirements. Including daily input on our BlueSky Education system.
  • Plan monitoring/sampling activities for all our learners and ensure activities completed in a timely manner. Ensure developmental feedback provided to improve all learners to achieve the highest grade.
  • Check qualifications, experience and CPD of all delivery team to ensure they meet all quality requirements.
  • Identify CPD opportunities for all staff and implement.
  • Track learner progress and ensure assessments are planned, prepared for, and carried out according to agreed procedures.
  • Plan and facilitate standardisation meetings/activities with the team.
  • Ensure all standardisation activities/meetings have minutes and shared/saved as per procedure.
  • Liaise with all stakeholders including EPAOs and Awarding Bodies
  • Undertake mock EPA interviews with all learners.
  • Ensure own CPD is maintained.

 

Your areas of knowledge and expertise that matter most for this role:

  • Hold a recognised IQA Award (D34, V1, IQA, TAQA L4) and Assessor Award (D32/D33, A1, TAQA or CAVA).
  • Hold solid, occupational competency within IT.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail

 

Desirable Qualifications and Knowledge:

  • Teacher Training Qualification
  • Level 3 Functional skills
  • Occupational competency within Digital Marketing.

This is a hybrid role and will require travel to Derby (East Midlands) at least 2 days per month.
